Dr NA Magadum Ayurvedic College Ankali offers graduate level, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. It is also known as BAMS. The course is for a duration of 5 ½ years which comprises 4 ½ years of course curriculum, which is followed by 1 year of internship. It is a combination of theory and practical.

Ayurveda is one of the oldest systems of medicine. It refers to the Science of Life. While allopathic medicine focuses on disease prevention. Ayurveda gives knowledge about curing the disease as well as preventing it from the cause itself.

The complete course is divided into 3 sections for a duration of 1.5 years each. Each of the sections is called a professional-level program. In the first year, students are taught subjects like anatomy, physiology and the history of Ayurveda.
