Role of RUHS (Rajasthan University of Health Sciences) in MDS Admission 2025
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) was established under the Act of State Government “The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Act, 2005”. The University oversees the counselling process, ensuring transparency and adherence to merit-based criteria in private colleges/institutions affiliated with this University.
MDS Admission in Rajasthan 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Every aspirant needs to fulfil the NEET MDS 2025 eligibility criteria set by NBE.
- Candidates must be Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).
- The required Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree must be awarded by a university or institute in India under MDS course regulations 2017 issued by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
- Candidates also must possess a provisional or permanent registration certification issued by DCI or Rajasthan Dental Council.
- A 12-month rotatory internship is compulsory. Eligibility is withheld until the internship certificate is produced at the time of counselling.
NEET MDS eligibility criteria for foreign nationals
- Their basic Dental Qualification equivalent to BDS should be recognized by DCI.
- Foreign nationals don’t need to have a temporary DCI registration at the time of examination.
- The temporary registration certificate by DCI will be issued on the condition that the foreign national must be registered as a medical practitioner in the candidate’s country.

- Successful candidates are called for counselling rounds. During counselling, candidates can choose their preferred dental speciality and the institutions they are interested in based on their ranks in the entrance exam.
- The counselling process involves seat allotment, and candidates need to submit their documents for verification.
Once the counselling process is complete, candidates who are allotted seats need to confirm their MDS admission by paying the prescribed fees within the stipulated time.

Rajasthan NEET MDS Counselling 2025: Step-by-step process
Candidate can visit the official portal to register themselves for NEET MDS Rajasthan State Counselling https://www.rajmdsneet2024.org/
Step 1: Online Registration
–> For registration, candidates must use their NEET MDS roll number and email ID registered with All India NEET MDS and follow the on-screen instructions.
–> Exam-qualified applicants must make an online payment. An SMS will be sent to their registered mobile number (used for AI-NEET-MDS registration) to confirm successful registration. (Please remember the password created during registration, as it will be needed later.)
–> After successful payment, candidates will receive a transaction and registration number on their registered mobile number.
Step 2: Online Security Money Payment
–> Candidates willing to attend the counselling process to secure an MDS seat in their desired Dental College must pay the security money as prescribed by https://ruhsraj.org/
–> After paying the security deposit and once the state merit list is declared, the online seat choice-filling option will be available as per the provided schedule.
–> Candidates can print their online payment receipt.
Step 3: Merit Declaration
–> The State merit list is prepared based on the All the India NEET-PG ranking.
–> The final merit list will be published per the official website’s provisions.
Step 4: Choice Filing
–> Visit the website: Login using the NEET roll number and password created during registration.
–> The choice filling can be done in several sessions, but candidates must save and continue; otherwise, they will lose their work.
–> Choice filling is not complete until it is finally submitted and locked. No changes will be allowed after locking.
–> After the choice-filling deadline passes, the seat allotment list will be declared online.
Step 5: Seat Allotment
–> The candidate’s seat allotment status will be displayed on the website login to check it.
–> If the candidate accepts the allotted seat but does not join or resigns after joining, they will remain eligible for the second round of counselling but will forfeit their security deposit.
–> If the candidates join the allotted college, they can still participate in the second round of counselling. If their seat is upgraded, the previous allotment will be automatically cancelled.
–> Seat allotment is conducted online based on merit.
Important Note:
- Physically disabled candidates must be physically present before the medical board on the dates specified on the website.
- Reserved category candidates will be given admission as per the rules of the state government, applicable on the date of counselling.
- OBC candidates covered by the general merit list will not be entitled to category-based benefits.
Important Rules:
- Re-allotment of seats after the first and second rounds is not possible.
- Original documents are required for admissions. Any Concealment or falsification of information discovered at the time of admission or during the course of study will lead to legal action and cancellation of the candidate’s seat.
- Any mismatch during identity verification will be considered fraudulent, leading to the cancellation of the candidature. Additional legal action would be taken against such candidates.
- A candidate who does not participate in online counselling or fails to join their allotted seat by the due date will forfeit their right of admission.
- The option, once exercised by the candidate in online counselling, cannot be altered.
