Admission Procedure

UG Course (B.E)

Common Entrance Test (CET): 

• For the Candidates who are from the state of Karnataka. 
• This entrance exam is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority for undergraduate courses.
• Every year, in the month of January or February the admission starts.
• The CET exam is usually conducted in the month of April. 

KRLM Examination

• KRLMPCA: Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association, Conducts a Common Entrance Test.
• The institutes that are a part of KRLMPCA will take admission to the engineering courses through this entrance examination.
• The admission process is usually done in the month of Jan/Feb.
• The marks to be obtained for getting admission will be decided by the organization.

Management Quota:

• The students from India, as well as those Abroad, can apply through this quota.
• The main basis of the selection process is Individual counselling and Merit.
• The admission process usually starts in the months of May / June.

PG Course (M.Tech)

Admission to the Master of Technology at Ghousia College of Engineering Bangalore is through two quotas, PGCET and Management Quota.

Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET):

• The PGCET Entrance Examination is organized by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. 
• The PGCET is an entrance examination which is a gateway to get admission in various Post Graduate courses.
• The Karnataka and also Non-Karnataka candidates who have scored good marks in the exam can apply to the college.

Management Quota:

• The Admission to M.Tech will start in May/June.

• The admission to M.Sc Engg and PhD is done during the month of January and July.

Eligibility Criteria

UG Courses (B.E):

• The candidates must get good marks in the SSLC examination and PUC exam organised by the Pre- university board of Karnataka. 
• Students who have passed any other examination which is recognised as equivalent to it by the VTU are also eligible.
• All the students should get at least 45% of total marks in the mandatory subjects Physics and Maths, and in any of Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics as elective subjects.
• For the case of students from SC/ ST / OBC, the eligibility criteria is 40% of aggregate marks in the subjects mentioned above.

PG Courses (M. Tech):

• The candidate must have completed the Bachelor’s Degree to get admission to the Master of Technology program.
• The Bachelor’s degree taken should be a four-year course.
• And the applicant must score above the minimum CGPA decided by the college. 
• The CGPA eligibility will differ for the students of SC, ST and Category-I candidates.

M.Sc Engg and PhD

• The candidates must complete the Master’s in their respective categories.

On-Campus Facilities

The Ghousia College of Engineering Bangalore is recognised as one of the best Engineering colleges in Bangalore because of its Aesthetic value and Academic excellence. The management invests in the buildings, laboratories and equipment required for every department.

• Hostel

The college provides separate hostels for girls and boys. There are four hostel blocks in total namely Sir Syed Ahmed Hostel, Moulana Azad Hostel, and Tippu Sultan Hostel which are for boys. And Hazrath Bi Bi Fathima Hostel for girls.  In total the boy’s hostel can accommodate 800 students and the girl’s hostel can accommodate 120 students. 

The Sir Syed Ahmed Hostel is for first-year students of branches, Moulana Azad Hostel is for 2nd-year students and Tippu Sultan Hostel accommodates 3rd & 4th Year students of all branches. And the Hazrath Bi Bi Fathima Hostel is exclusively for the Girls of all branches.
