Admission Procedure

Step 1: MCC Registration

• For Direct Admission in JSS Dental College Mysore, you should register in MCC Counseling by paying the requisite fees.
• The fees to be paid for MCC registration are INR 5,000/-, which will be non-refundable, and INR 2,00,000/-, which will be refunded to your account number/credit card from where the amount was paid.

Step 2: MCC Counseling Rounds

• There are three rounds of counseling in MCC, namely the first round, second round, and mop-up round. These three rounds are conducted online.
• There is also a 4th round conducted, known as the stray vacancy round, which is done for direct admission through management quota. This round is conducted offline.

Step 3: Option Entry

• The students have to register and do the option entry for JSS Dental College. They must make an entry for JSS their first priority if they want Direct Admission in JSS Dental College Mysore.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

• Once your seat is allotted, download the admission order, visit JSS Dental College, and pay the tuition fees and hostel fees (if you want hostel accommodation also), and your admission is complete.

MCC Counseling Update

• OCI applicants can now apply for UR category management roles instead of NRI seats from the previous year.
• Previously managed offline at the college level, MCC counseling will now handle the stray vacancy round.
• The Mop-Up Stray Vacancy phase of the fourth round is open for registration today.
• The mop-up round will now be referred to be the third counseling round, and the mop-up stray vacancy round will now be referred to as the third round.

The candidate should be 17 years old before December of the admission year. He/She should qualify for NEET UG for admission. The candidate must pass his/her 12th class with the subject Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in English as one of the compulsory subjects.	Every applicant chosen for admission to a postgraduate dental program must hold a recognized BDS degree or an equivalent qualification, and they must be registered with one of the state dental councils, or they must do so within one month of the date of their admission, or their admission will be revoked. He/She should qualify for NEET PG for admission.

A notarized affidavit from the sponsor stating they would cover the candidate’s whole course fee is required. If holding an OCI/PIO document, the sponsor’s or candidate’s citizenship. Income Tax Documents are required in accordance with the Sponsor’s Income Tax Act of 1961. Candidates must pass the NBE screening test and be registered with the Dental Council of India if the qualifying examination is conducted other than in India. The MCC of the DGHS requires any further paperwork.

Department	Overview
Oral Medicine and Radiology	The area of dentistry known as oral medicine is focused on providing medically complicated patients with oral health care, including diagnosing and treating medical problems that impact the oral and maxillofacial region.
Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry	The department aims to teach undergraduates about the pathophysiology of illness processes and how they affect a child’s physical and psychological growth and development. Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery	The department is home to 11 renowned surgeons and an anesthetist who have, on average, worked there for more than 12 years. A very active post-graduate teaching program offers practical instruction and hands-on experience.
Conservative Dentistry	The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics was established in 1985 at the JSS Dental College campus. Under Mysore University, undergraduate programs began in 1985. Now, the courses are available through JSS Deemed University.
