  • Document Upload: Scanned copies of necessary documents, such as NEET MDS scorecard, academic certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and identification proof, must be uploaded as per the guidelines mentioned in the prospectus.
  • Payment of Registration Fee: Applicants must pay the prescribed registration fee through online payment methods, including debit card, credit card, or net banking. The fee is non-refundable, so candidates should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before making the payment.
  • Issuance of Registration Number: Once the application is successfully submitted and the payment is confirmed, a unique registration number is sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.     Eligibility Criteria for MDS Admission in Andhra Pradesh

    MDS admissions in Andhra Pradesh are available under two categories:

    1. Competent Authority Quota (Government Quota – Category A)
    2. Management Quota (Category B & C) in Private Non-Minority Colleges

    Competent Authority Quota (Government Quota – Category A)

    Who Can Apply?

    ✔ Must have a BDS degree from a recognized college.
    ✔ Should have completed internship by 30-06-2025.
    ✔ Must be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or any State Dental Council.

    NEET MDS 2024 Cutoff Scores

    The following is the cutoff from the previous year, provided for your reference. This year’s cutoff will be updated only after the exam is conducted and the results are announced. The NEET MDS exam will be conducted on 19 Apr 2025.

    Local Area Rules

    85% of seats are reserved for Andhra Pradesh local candidates (AU/SVU regions).

    Management Quota (Category B & C) in Private Non-Minority Colleges

    Who Can Apply?

    ✔ Must have a BDS degree from a recognized college.
    ✔ Should have completed internship by 30-06-2025.

    Types of Management Quota Seats

    (S1) – General Management Quota

    ✔ 15% of seats are open to all Indian candidates.
    ✔ 85% of seats are reserved for local Andhra Pradesh candidates (AU/SVU regions).

    (S2) – NRI Quota

    ✔ Foreign students, NRI, or NRI-sponsored candidates can apply.

    (S3) – Institutional Quota

    ✔ Available in the same college if:

    You completed BDS in that college.
    You or your parent is an employee at that college.
    If applicants exceed available seats, admission is based on NEET MDS rank.

    Important Notes

    ✔ If you have a foreign BDS degree, it must be recognized by DCI.
    ✔ Providing false information can lead to disqualification and legal action.
    ✔ Candidates under Management Quota must work one year as a Senior Resident in the same college after completing MDS.

    MDS Counselling Process in Andhra Pradesh (2025)

    The counselling process for MDS admissions in Andhra Pradesh is designed to ensure a transparent and merit-based allocation of seats. Conducted by the Dr YSR University of Health Sciences, the process includes multiple phases in line with the guidelines of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Dental Council of India (DCI), and university norms. Below is an overview of the counselling process:

    Phases of Counselling

    Phase-I Counselling

    1. Seat Matrix Display:
      • The availability of seats is published on the university’s website before the web option process begins.
    2. Eligibility Criteria:
      • Candidates must not be debarred from prior counselling rounds, such as stray rounds from previous years or course discontinuations.
    3. Web Options:
      • Candidates can select unlimited options for colleges and specialities.
      • Only genuine and preferred options should be chosen.
    4. Allotment Process:
      • Selected candidates must pay a university fee of ₹49,600 to download the provisional allotment order.
      • They must report to the allotted college with original certificates, tuition fees, and necessary bonds by the specified deadline.
    5. Important Notes:
      • Non-reporting to the allotted seat renders the candidate ineligible for subsequent phases.
      • Candidates remain eligible for upgradation until Phase-III.

    Phase-II Counselling

    1. Procedure:
      • Similar to Phase-I, with seat availability displayed prior to web options.
    2. Eligibility Criteria:
      • Candidates allotted and reported in Phase-I.
      • Candidates not allotted a seat in Phase-I.
      • Candidates were allotted a seat in Phase-I but did not join (previously blocked seats are unavailable for reallocation).
    3. Free Exit:
      • Candidates who reported in Phase-I can opt for a free exit as per the schedule.

    Phase-III Counselling (Mop-Up Round)

    1. Procedure:
      • Similar to earlier phases.
    2. Eligibility Criteria:
      • Candidates who reported in earlier phases.
      • Candidates were not allotted any seats in the previous phases.
      • Candidates who did not join earlier phases (previously blocked seats are unavailable).
    3. Important Notes:
      • Candidates holding a seat in this round cannot participate in further counselling.
      • Vacancies arising due to candidates joining AIQ Round 3 will be filled during this round.

    Stray Vacancy Round

    1. Fresh Registrations:
      • Only fresh registrations and choice filling are allowed. Options from earlier phases will not be considered.
    2. Eligibility Criteria:
      • Candidates were not allotted any seats in earlier phases.
      • Candidates were allotted a seat but did not join.
      • Candidates not registered in earlier phases.
    3. Not Eligible Candidates:
      • Candidates already holding MDS seats in State/AIQ/Deemed universities.
      • Candidates are allotted a seat in the State Stray Vacancy round of the Competent Authority Quota.
    4. Reporting:
      • Candidates allotted a seat must report and join; failure to do so will result in debarment from future counselling for one academic year.
