• RGUHS Bangalore will start registering new students according to the schedule they decide. 
• Students can access the admission application on the college’s official website.

Eligibility for BAMS

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in Bangalore requires applicants for admission to the first professional BAMS course to have passed the state board’s 10+2 examination or any other exam deemed equivalent thereto with English as one of the optional subjects and a minimum of 50% marks in the PCB Groups.

• Candidates are eligible for admission to the first professional BAMS program if they have completed a B.Sc degree examination from any university or any other equivalent exam administered by a statutory university or board with science subjects, specifically chemistry, botany, and zoology, and have earned at least 50% of the aggregate.
• However, for the students who fall under the SC/ST & category, the minimum percentage of marks required for admission to the first year of the BAMS programme is first relaxed by 10% of marks. This applies exclusively to students from the state of Karnataka. 
• No applicant may be admitted unless they are 17 years or older on December 31 of the admissions year.

The students must carry the following document in their original form along with 4 photocopies of each: 

• Detailed Marksheet of SSCC/ HSC/ B Sc.
• Detailed Mark Certificate of PUC II/ HSC/ B Sc.

About the Course

Sanskrit	The step-by-step approach to studying Ayurveda is taught by the ayurvedic teachers. Granthas, Arsha. Additionally, impart Anuvada, which is the translation of various phrases from various Ayurvedic reference books into Sanskrit.
Kriya Shareera	Study of the concepts underlying the basic tenets of Ayurveda Kriya Sharir, such as Panchamahabhuta, Tridosha, Triguna, Loka-Purusha Samya, and Samanya-Vishesha. Srotas’ foundations are described. Also includes an explanation and list of synonyms for the terms Sharir and Kriya, as well as a discussion of the Manasa and Sharir Doshas. Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajyakalpana	The definition and etymology of Rasa, the history of Rasashastra, the significance of Rasaushadhi, and the concepts of Rasa-Rasayana, Raseshwar Darshana, and Rasashala and Rasamandap are all covered in this course. Discusses the fundamental tenets of Bhaishajya Kalpana as well.

3rd Professional Year of BAMS.

Swasthavritta	Teach about what swastha, swasthya, and swasthavritta mean. Health according to the WHO’s definition and its physical, mental, and social dimensions. Teach pupils about the idea of well-being and all of its components, such as standard of living and quality of life. Students also learn about basic  pathology and its sub-divisions.
Prasuti Tanta Evum Stree Roga	Teach students how to manage pregnancy, labour, the post-labour recovery phase, and the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the female genital tract and reproductive system.
Kumarbhritya Parichaya	Definitions and terms used in Kaumarbhritya (Ayurvedic Pediatrics) are introduced, along with its scope. Kashyapa Samhita’s significance to Kaumarbhritya.
Charak Samhita	The ancient medicinal science of India known as Ayurveda is described in the Charaka Samhita, which is the oldest and most reliable treatise on medicine.  It provides details on ailments and how to treat them.

4th Professional Year of BAMS.
