The college is formed under the NITTE Education Trust. AB Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences Mangalore is affiliated with NITTE University and recognized by the Dental Council of India(DCI) and the Government of Karnataka.

BDS Eligibility Criteria

For admission towards BDS in AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, the following are the criteria:

• Candidates must qualify for NEET-UG.
• Candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• Candidate must score at least 50% in PCB i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• The candidate must compulsorily pass the English Subject during the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
• The candidate must be at least 17 years of age during the admission procedure of that academic year.

MDS Eligibility Criteria

• Library: The college library is located on the 7th floor of the building. The floor area is 10,000 square feet with a seating facility for 200 students. The library has a collection of more than 6475 volumes and 53 national and international journals. Each department has a separate library too. The library has an open-access system and a seminar too.
• Gymnasium: The college provides a fully equipped Gym with professionally trained instructors for the students and hostellers.
