College of Dental Sciences Davangere Admission

The admission process for the College of Dental Sciences, Davangere (CODS), for BDS and MDS programs involves qualifying for NEET UG/MDS, followed by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counselling. 

College of Dental Sciences Admission Process

I will explain each step involved in the process in detail below.

  1. Step 1: Qualifying in NEET Examination

    Candidates must qualify in the NEET-UG exam for BDS admission and NEET-MDS exam for MDS admission.

  2. Step 2: Register for KEA Counselling

    Candidates must register online with the KEA counselling portal by providing the required details and paying the prescribed fees.

  3. Step 3: Document Verification

    The registered candidates must produce the necessary original certificates for document verification at the assigned centre.

  4. Step 4: Choice Filling Process

    Candidates must choose colleges as their priority during the choice filling process. You should choose the College of Dental Sciences as your first option.

  5. Step 5: Mock Allotment

    The Mock Allotment provides the candidates with an initial indication of seat allocation based on their choices. 

  6. Step 6: Seat Allotment

    Seats are allotted in multiple rounds based on the NEET ranks, college choices, seat vacancies, and reservation criteria. The results will be published on the KEA portal.

  7. Step 7: Enrollment

    Candidates must report to the college within the time given and complete the admission formalities, including college fee payment.

Dental Admission

Eligibility Criteria for BDS

  • The candidates have reached the age of 17 as of December 31st of the Admission Year.
  • To go through the procedure and practice dentistry, you must be medically fit.
  • Have completed the Karnataka II PUC exam or an equivalent test with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages. (Received 50% in the three areas and English as a whole)
  • The minimum mark for candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is 40%.
  • The candidates must qualify NEET-UG.

Documents Required for BDS Admission

  • Card Of NEET Rank (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)
  • Marks Card for S.S.L.C. (tenth Std.).
  • Twelfth grade Card Marks
  • Certificate of Transfer
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if not usually found inside the tenth Marks card).
  • Report on Blood Groups
  • Migration Certificate through the Board (Not Applicable to P.U.C. Board college students).
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe college students must show proof of caste and income.
  • Physical Fitness Certificate with identifying markers
  • Parent’s PAN CARD photo replication
  • Four Passport length photographs and Two Stamp Size photographs of the student
  • Photographs of father and mother from their passports (One each).
  • Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, issued an eligibility certificate. (P.U.C. Board college students are not eligible.)

Eligibility Criteria for MDS

  • A candidate applying for admission to the MDS program must possess a recognized BDS degree presented by a national university or a recognized Dental College by the Dental Council of India, and must be registered with the State Dental Council permanently.
  • Candidates who do not have a recognized dental qualification for the aforementioned purposes should obtain prior permission for their qualifications from the Dental Council of India before enrolling in any MDS Course in India.
  • Students who did not attend Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka must present an Eligibility Certificate issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka when applying for MDS.
  • The candidates must qualify NEET-PG.

Documents Required for MDS Admission

  • NEET Rank Card Original (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)
  • Marks Card for S.S.L.C. (tenth Std.).
  • Certificate of completion from the college where the B.D.S. course was completed.
  • B.D.S. Marks Cards from First to Final Year
  • A university degree certificate.
  • Compulsory Internship Completion Certificate for one year.
  • State Dental Council of India Registration Certificate
  • Certificate of Migration from the University where the B.D.S. course was completed.
  • Photocopy of the student’s Aadhar Card Physical Fitness Certificate with identifying markers
  • Four passport-sized photographs and two stamp-sized photographs of the student
  • One photo of each parent
  • NOC from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Department of Health in Delhi (In case of overseas Nationals).
  • Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, issued an eligibility certificate. (Not applicable to R.G.U.H.S. BDS STUDENTS.)
  • Copies of passports and visas are required for international college students.
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe college students must present the Caste and Income Certificate issued by utilizing the Tahasildar for the current academic year at the time of admission.
  • OBC students must present the relevant Certificate and Income Certificate from Tahasildar at the time of admission for the current academic year.
  • A photocopy of the parent’s or student’s Pan Card is required

      This college is a private dental college and is also known as CODS Davangree.
      In this category , you can try doing the option entry for the G quota (if you are a domicile of Karnataka).
      Or else you have to select the P quota seats.
      The Fee structure of P quota and G Quota is different.
