Admission Process

Step 1- Qualify NEET

Candidates must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by (NTA) to be accepted for admission.

Step 2- Register for State Counselling

After qualifying, candidates must register for State Counselling through its official website.

Step 3- Payment for Participation

The candidates have to pay the registration Fee, which may be INR 1000-5000, depending upon the state and category. Along with that, there may be a refundable security deposit, which, after the counseling, will be automatically transferred to the same bank account from which the candidate had transferred the initial payment or might get adjusted in the fee of the allotted seat of the student. The rules vary from state to state counseling authority.

Step 4- Option Entry in State Counselling

Candidates must enter their choices for medical colleges and courses during State counseling. They can prioritize the options entered. One student can fill in as many choices as possible, giving better chances of seat allotment. However, thorough research on the colleges’ quality should be performed to get the best choices.

Step 5- Seat Allotment through State Counselling

Based on the candidate’s NEET rank, preferences, category, and availability of seats, seats will be allotted to candidates.

Step 6- Post Allotment Procedure

Once a candidate is allotted a seat in the dental college through State counseling, they must download the allotment letter from the State portal, report to the college within the given time along with the original documents, and pay the fee to complete the admission formalities. They may also ask about the commencement date of classes so that they can join on the stipulated date.

  • The candidate must have reached the age of 17.
  • The candidate should be an Indian National and fulfill Telangana’s Local or Non-local status criteria.
  • Completing 10+2 examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English is a prerequisite.
  • OC candidates, including those seeking EWS reservation, must secure at least 50% marks in science subjects.
  • BC/SC/ST candidates should achieve at least 40% marks in science subjects.
  • OC PH candidates should secure a minimum of 45% marks in science subjects.
  • Foreign Students / NRI candidates can apply for admission into BDS Courses under Management Quota Category – C Seats. To be considered for NRI / C-Category, candidates must explicitly choose the NRI Category option in the online application.
  • Qualification in the NEET-UG examination is a mandatory requirement.

MDS

  • Candidates should have a BDS Degree recognized by the DCI.
  • Candidates should have completed the internship.
