How to get admission to these colleges

Eligibility criteria

For BDS

• Must have passed at least 50% in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology combined in their 10+2 exam from the Board of School Education, Haryana, or an exam recognised as being comparable.
• Should have attended the 10+2 exam with English as an independent subject.
• Attained the age of 17 years for admission to the BDS course on or before 31st December of the academic year.
• Should Qualify for NEET UG Examination.

For MDS

• Ought to be an Indian citizen.
• Should have passed the BDS exam from an accredited/recognized university.
• Completed a mandatory one-year rotating internship approved by the Indian Dental Council and enrolled with a State Dental Council or DCI. 
• Ought to meet the eligibility criteria specified in the NEET PG information bulletin by NBE and comply with NMC/DCI regulations.

Steps to admission

Course	Entrance Exam	Counseling Procedure
BDS	Pass the National Testing Agency’s NEET UG admission exam.	Participate in the Haryana NEET UG Counseling, organized by the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Haryana.
MDS	Must qualify for the NEET MDS entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).	Need to participate in the Haryana NEET MDS Counseling, organized by DMER Haryana.

• Students can only pay their fees online, and the Haryana BDS/MDS admissions application must be completed online.
• Applicants must submit the application form within the stipulated deadline.
• Candidates must submit their academic records, personal information, NEET 2025 score, and other necessary data to apply. Candidates undergo document verification, choice selection, and seat distribution when the authorities release a merit list.
• When applicants visit the designated medical or dentistry college, they must present a printed copy of their application and all original documentation. Fees must be paid to secure admission to the dental college.
• If they don’t, their application can be turned down right away.

To be eligible for BDS admission, candidates must meet the NEET-UG 2024 minimum qualifying criteria: General/EWS needs the 50th percentile, SC/ST/BC requires the 40th percentile, and General/EWS & PH needs the 45th percentile.

The NEET-MDS 2024 cutoff for MDS is 196+ marks for General/EWS, 180+ for General-PH, and 164+ for SC/ST/OBC.
