Candidates who have qualified in the NEET SS examination conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The cutoff date for qualifying MD/MS/DNB Broad Specialty for appearing in NEET-SS counselling 2025 is 30th April 2025.

Eligibility for Stray Round in NEET SS Counselling:
- Registered candidates who didn’t get any seat in Rounds 1 or 2
- Candidates who didn’t report at the allotted institute during Round-1 or Round-2 with forfeiture option
- New candidates registering for the first time

Documents Required for NEET SS Admission
Original documents required at the time of joining the allotted Medical College:
- Provisional Allotment Letter issued by MCC
- Admit Card issued by NBE
- Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE
- MBBS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate
- MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate in the concerned Specialty
- Permanent Registration Certificate of MBBS/MD/MS/DNB issued by MCI or NBE/State Medical Council
- High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth
- ID Proof (PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport or Aadhar Card)
Important: Candidates without original certificates/documents will not be allowed to take admission.

Q: How do I register for the counselling process?
A: Registration can be done online at www.mcc.nic.in during the specified dates. No physical presence is required.
Q: Is it necessary to fill up and lock choices?
A: Yes, after registration and payment, you must fill in your choices of subjects and institutions in order of preference and lock them. If you don’t lock your choices, they will be automatically locked on the specified date and time.
Q: Is it necessary to join the allotted college in Round-1 to participate in Round-2?
A: Yes, if a seat is allotted in Round-1, you must join the allotted institution, complete admission formalities, and give willingness for up-gradation to be eligible for Round-2.
Q: What happens if I don’t join the allotted seat in Round-1?
A: If you don’t report at the allotted college in Round-1, your security deposit will be forfeited. To participate in Round-2, you’ll need to register again and pay the fees once more.
Q: If my choice is upgraded in Round-2, do I need to join the new college?
A: Yes, if your choice is upgraded in Round-2, your previous seat will be automatically cancelled, and you must join the new college. If you don’t, you’ll forfeit your security deposit.
Q: Will my original certificates be retained by the allotted college?
A: Yes, participating institutions have been instructed to retain original certificates of admitted students and release them only on up-gradation of the seat to prevent seat blocking.
Q: How will the security deposit be refunded?
A: The security deposit will be refunded only after completion of all rounds of counselling. It will be credited to the same account from which it was initially deposited within 30 days of the notification of counselling completion.
Important Notes
- All Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are considered working days for the counselling process.
- Candidates are advised to check the college/institution website for details regarding stipend, fee structure, course duration, bond amount, and other conditions before opting for a seat.
- Registration and choice filling can be done from any place with internet connectivity. Mobile phones are not recommended for registration and choice filling.
- All admissions should be made online only, and candidates should ensure their Admission Letter has been generated online through the MCC portal.
