Admission Procedure 

Eligibility Criteria for BDS

• Candidate selection is decided purely on merit after qualifying NEET examination. Soon after the NEET results are out, the government of Uttarakhand conducts online counselling for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Students need to keep themselves updated on – http://www.hnbumu.ac.in/
• Students must also have completed their 10+2 or equivalent in PCB with an aggregate of 45 per cent.

Eligibility Criteria for MDS

• Those who have citizenship in India can apply under the general category, and those who are foreigners or NRIs have to apply under the NRI/foreign category. There will be no direct admission, and the student should qualify for NEET-PG. The state quota and management quota will be filled by counselling done by the state government only.
• Student must have completed their BDS from a college recognized by DCI.
• Students must have completed the mandatory internship CRI before 31^st July of that academic year.

BDS

The bachelor in Dental Surgery is a five-year-long course in which the student studies for four years and is followed by a year of CRI- compulsory rotatory internship, the student in internship works in various departments to gain knowledge from all fields, and it also helps them to understand their strengths, weakness, and if they want to pursue masters in future, it helps them to decide which department to specialize in, or they can choose to open a private clinic of their own as now they are qualified and competent to do so.

MDS

The Master’s degree in Dental Surgery course is three years long. Students can choose from six options for their specialization. After completing their master’s in these specializations, they can enter the dentistry field as an expert. They can also choose to further pursue their academics after completion by pursuing a doctorate and going into research. The various specialization which is available:
