A 12th pass student or a vocational physiotherapy holder can apply for the BPT course, and a B.Sc (PT) or BPT passed student can apply to the MPT degree.   • Should have passed the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • Candidates who have completed a Pre-university course with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for admission to the BPT course.

OR

  • Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by the State Government/Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two-year Pre University Examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/ Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

MPT

  • Candidates must pass B.Sc (PT) or BPT degree from institutions where the mode of study is a full-time programme, with a minimum of 3.5 years / 4.5 years duration from this university or any other university in India or abroad as equivalent, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Have completed 6 months of compulsory rotating internship in Physiotherapy Colleges recognized by RGUHS-Karnataka. 
  • Need to pass BPT through correspondence or a Distance Education program are not eligible.

OR

  • Candidates who have passed BPT through Bridge Course or Lateral Entry after completing their Diploma in Physiotherapy from institutions where the mode of study is a full-time program from this university or any other university in India or abroad as equivalent, with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate.
