How to Choose a BSc Cardiac Care Technology College?

Now that you have got the list of BSc cardiac care technology colleges in Bangalore, you might be confused about which college to choose, right?

So in this section, I will help you out in choosing the best BSc cardiac care technology colleges in Bangalore for you.

There are a few things that you have to keep in mind while selecting a cardiac care college in Bangalore. They are:

  • Affiliated University.
  • College infrastructure.
  • Faculties.
  • Attached hospital.
  • Patient exposure.
  • OPDs in the hospital.
  • Fee affordability.

So I will tell you in detail about each of the above college selection criteria. 😀

Criteria 1: Affiliated University

Most of the cardiac care technology colleges in Bangalore are affiliated with RGUHS or Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences, Bangalore.

But, apart from that, there are small institutes running the course which are affiliated with sub-standard universities, which doesn’t give you actual academic benefits.

If the college is affiliated with RGUHS, then you can surely join the college.

Criteria 2: College Infrastructure

The college must have the infrastructure to teach the students the latest technologies in cardiac care.

I am not talking about the hostel infrastructure and all. I mean the academic infrastructure including the latest equipment and instruments.

Criteria 3: Faculties

There is no use of the latest equipment and instruments if the college doesn’t have the best faculty to teach you how to use the equipment.

There are colleges that have fancy campuses, hospitals, etc. but the faculties are not up to the mark.

Criteria 4: Attached Hospital

See whether the college has its own hospital with good patient exposure. I will tell you about patient exposure in the next section.

Give first preference to colleges having a cardiology department and also who do cardiac-related surgeries. This will give you great benefits in your clinical experience.

Criteria 5: Patient Exposure

As of my experience, when you join a health-related course, see whether the college has good patient exposure. There are many colleges that don’t have their own hospital and they take students to the nearest government or private hospitals for practice.

No one talks about patient exposure, but I think that is a big factor in a cardiac care college.

Criteria 6: OPDs in Hospital

I know this is similar to patient exposure. In this section, I would like to tell you how to know whether the college has good patient exposure.

I am not saying that the hospital needs thousands of patients daily.

I meant that the student-patient ratio must be good. Each student must a decent number of practical knowledge. I know that you won’t be treating patients for cardiac care technology, but practical experiences take your future academics to the next level.

Criteria 7: Fee Affordability

You might be knowing how much fee you can afford for the total course, right? But don’t just think that the tuition fee is the fee you have to pay.

You will also have to pay extra for examinations, lab fees, hostel, food, etc. So when you enquire about a college, enquire about the fee structure in detail. Never skip this part.

If you are not able to afford the fees, then you can join colleges in nearby districts in Karnataka. Bangalore is the education hub of south India and it will be costly for sure.

You can contact me and I can guide you in college selection easily.
