Step 1: Understanding KEAM Qualifications

KEAM qualified applicants gain entry through KEAM Counseling. Prepare all necessary documents and payments for merit full and merit low categories. Those who haven’t applied for KEAM can opt for direct admission to the college, streamlining the process

Step 2: Applying for Admission

After CEE allotments, candidates not on the KEAM rank list still have opportunities. They can register on the college’s official website, indicating interest in open seats. This step ensures equal consideration for all eligible candidates in the admission process.


Securing admission to a B.Tech program involves navigating through various stages, from qualification exams to direct admissions. By following this step-by-step guide, prospective students can ensure a smooth transition into their desired college, maximizing their chances of success.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Program (B.Tech)

  • By the end of the admissions year on December 31, candidates had to be at least 17 years old. There will be no exceptions to the minimum age. There is no maximum age.
  • Candidates are eligible for admission to the college if they have cleared the Higher Secondary Board Exams, the state of Kerala examination, or any other examination comparable, with a minimum of 45% of their total marks in physics and mathematics, which are required subjects, and a minimum of 45% in chemistry, one of the optional subjects.
  • The applicant’s computer science grades will be taken into consideration if they haven’t studied Chemistry.
  • Candidates must have at least 45% in any subject from their three-year diploma, D.Voc or B.Sc., as well as mathematics from their 10+2 coursework. 

Admission Process for PG Program (M.Tech)

  • Candidates who meet the requirements can apply through the DTE’s centralized allotment process with or without a valid GATE score.
  • Those who are accepted into the College of Engineering Munnar (CEM) through KEAM Counselling may show up with the necessary paperwork and money on specific days to be admitted into the merit full and merit low categories.  
  • Students can also apply directly through college by showing valid documents and a GATE scorecard.
