  • Reservation of seats to various special quotas, such as SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD, would be followed as per the norms of the government of India.
  • Few seats (approximately 145 seats on a supernumerary basis) are available for Foreign Nationals/Indian Origin / Non-Resident Indians/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) under the scheme of ‘Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA)’ of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. 
  • One-third of the DASA seats are earmarked for the children of Indian professionals belonging to the Gulf Countries. Those seeking admission under these groups/schemes should visit the DASA website.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Programs:

  • Applicants ought to have a valid GATE score of the year in the respective discipline.
  • Candidates for admission to M. Tech. degree program should have passed B.E./B.Tech/MCA/B.Plan/B.Arch in an appropriate branch from an approved Institute holding a 60% score (CGPA 6.5) for GEN/OBC/GEN-EWS and 55% marks (CGPA 6) for SC/ST/PwD categories. 
  • CGPA or percentage obtained by the applicant in the qualifying degree will be taken into account during the evaluation process. In case both CGPA and percentage are mentioned, then CGPA would be prioritized. Conversion to and fro CGPA to percentage rendered by institutes solely shall not be considered. If CGPA is on a different scale, then it would be linearly mapped to a 10-point scale.
