The course helps graduate students to take responsibility as nurses and midwives at the lower level. The nurses provide preventive, curative, and rehabilitation services. It is a course for a duration of two years. The intake of the course is thirty students.

Academic Eligibility

Students who are wanting to take admission to the B.Sc. (Nursing) course, must fulfill the eligibility:

  1. Should pass PUC/12th Standard from a school/college which comes under the Central/State Government. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in English must be the optional subjects.
  2. The combined marks of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology took together must not be less than forty-five percentage marks, in the qualifying examination.
  3. Must obtain Certificate of Eligibility from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
  4. Should have completed seventeen years of age at the time of taking admissions.

Students wanting to get admission into Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) are required to fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Must have a Diploma In General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and must also be a registered nurse.
  2. Should have Passed Pre-University Exams in Arts/Science/Commerce, was taken by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka or its equivalent which is recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  3. Must produce a Certificate of Eligibility from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, in Karnataka.

Documents needed

Documents that are required to be produced at the time of getting admission to B.Sc Nursing are:

  1. Passing Certificate of the qualifying examination.
  2. 10th and 12th Standard Mark sheets.
  3. Original Migration Certificate.
  4. Academic Transcript.
  5. Provisional Certificate.
  6. Character Certificate.
  7. School Leaving or Certificate of Transfer.

Documents to be brought during the time of admissions for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing are:

Students must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for getting admission to the courses. The admission process is as follows:

  1. Application forms for the courses must be filled in the prescribed form, which is available along with the application form.
  2. Incomplete forms will be rejected. Details filled by the candidates in the application form must be correct and accurate.
  3. Forms submitted after the due date will be rejected.
  4. Application forms must be submitted to the Principal of the College.
  5. Once you pay the application fees, you will get a reference number for all future transactions.

  7. Applications are open to students throughout India and abroad. Admissions take place once a year, for UG Students in August/September, and in May/October for PG Students.
