Overview of MD MS Admission in UP
The admission to postgraduate medical courses in UP is strictly based on NEET PG scores. To participate in the counselling, you must register on the official UP NEET PG counselling portal: upneet.gov.in.

MD MS Admission in UP Eligibility
To take part in the MD MS admission in UP, you must fulfill the following conditions:
- NEET Qualification
- You must have qualified NEET PG 2025 or NEET MDS 2025.
- You must have qualified NEET PG 2025 or NEET MDS 2025.
- Internship Requirement
- For MD/MS/Diploma/DNB: You must finish the one-year compulsory rotatory internship on or before 31st July 2025.
- For MDS courses: Internship to be completed on or before 31st March, 2025.
- Educational Qualification
- Candidates who completed MBBS/BDS from government or private medical colleges in UP are eligible for both state quota and private seats.
- If you’re from AMU Aligarh, BHU Varanasi, AIIMS Raebareli & AIIMS Gorakhpur then you will not be eligible for state quota seats but can apply for private seats.
- If you’re from outside UP you can only apply for private medical/dental colleges.
- Other Eligibility Rules
- In-service candidates from Provincial Medical & Health Services (PMHS) can claim weightage as per government norms.
- Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) must qualify FMGE and obtain NMC registration.

MD MS Admission in UP Registration Process
Registration is online only through upneet.gov.in.

Merit List & Choice Filling
- The merit list for MD/MS/Diploma is prepared after giving weightage to in-service candidates.
- For MDS/DNB, it is based on the All India NEET rank.
Choice Filling Process:
- Login with your roll number and password.
- Fill as many colleges/courses as you want.
- Lock your final choices before the deadline.
- If not locked, no seat will be allotted.
Seat Allotment Rules
- Seat allotment is based on merit-cum-choice.
- The result is published online, and candidates must download the allotment letter.
- Free exit is allowed after Round 1 if you don’t take admission.
- Upgradation is possible up to Round 3.
- Category conversion rules apply in Round 3 if seats remain vacant.
- Candidates admitted elsewhere in India cannot participate in the UP stray vacancy round.
