The admission process is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, and includes both government and private dental colleges in the state. Seats are distributed under two quotas: 85% for Chhattisgarh state quota, which is reserved for state domicile candidates, and 15% under the All India Quota (AIQ), which is open to candidates from any state and handled by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).

To be eligible, students must qualify NEET-UG 2025 with a minimum of 50% for General category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwD candidates. The online registration for counselling usually begins in June–August 2025 on the official DME portal (http://cgdme.in). Domicile students can apply under the state quota, while students from across India can apply under the AIQ seats via mcc.nic.in.
