Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

  • Clearing NEET-UG is mandatory to be eligible for admission. 
  • The College, being the government, has prescribed a cutoff with minimum marks prescribed by the university selection board for the admission of students. A merit list is made on these Cutoff scores.
  • Candidates must have completed Class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent in PCB along with English as their subject as given by the NCERT.
  • Eighty-five percent of the seats are already reserved for students who have completed HSC from Rajasthan, and the rest 15 percent is for the All India quota.
  • Age requirement: Students should be at least -17 years of age on December 31 of the year of admission.

  • Candidates should have completed their Bachelor in Dental Surgery at a Dental college recognized by the Dentist Council of India. In addition, students interested in this course should have completed at least one year of mandatory rotatory residential internship.

BDS

A Bachelor in Dental Surgery is the only recognized course in India that helps a student become a dentist. It consists of four years of theoretical studies and is usually followed by one year of mandatory rotatory internship, where students work in various departments under dentistry to learn and explore all fields. The course helps students learn through practical training in a clinical environment so students can apply those skills in a real work environment after their graduation is over.

The fifth year of the program is a compulsory rotatory internship. Students learn how to apply the knowledge they have acquired in the four years or academic training.
