According to the Department of Health, Government of Bihar, the nomination or allotment of seats for admission to various postgraduate dental courses including PG Dental (MDS), shall be made based on merit-cum-choice, as determined by the competitive test conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, i.e., NEET (MDS) 2025.

NEET MDS Counselling in Bihar 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Here are the eligibility criteria for MDS Counselling in Bihar
- Educational Qualification:
- The candidates must have passed the BDS Examination from any recognized Dental College of Bihar State included in the schedule of the Dental Council of India.
- For admission in the academic year 2025 in this Course, candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar and who were accepted into the BDS program based on a competitive exam, administered by the Bihar government or by CBSE (under the All India Quota) before the bifurcation of Bihar, which occurred on November 15, 2000, in dental colleges located in Jharkhand, are also eligible to take the competitive exam.
- The candidates must have completed the rotational Internship.
- The candidates need to be registered with either the Dental Council of India or the Bihar State Dental Council.
- Residential:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Others:
- A candidate who has completed the BDS Examination from any Bihar State dental college listed in the Schedule of the Dental Council of India, but is not a permanent resident of Bihar is also qualified.
- Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit to apply for PG Dental Counseling 2025.
- Certificate of No Objection:
- Suppose a candidate is employed by the government or another organization. In that case, he will only be permitted to attend PG Dental Counseling 2025 if he can provide a certificate of “no objection” from his employer. If chosen, he will also be given study leave to complete the course.

You may obtain the prospectus for appearing in the POSTGRADUATE DENTAL ADMISSION COUNSELLING-2025 (PGDAC) online. Select the “PGDAC-2025” link under the Prospectus Section on the BCECE Board’s website. To complete the online application form, click the “Online Application portal of PGDAC-2024,” select the “Apply Online” option, and then adhere to the guidelines provided below:
- Registration:
- The candidate has to input their NEET-MDS 2025 Roll No for the registration of the MDS counseling.
- Their registered email address and mobile phone number will receive an OTP if the data is validated.
- The candidate will receive a notification on their registered email address and mobile phone number upon successful registration.
- Uploading all the necessary Information:
- After a successful account activation and registration, the applicant should “Sign in” to his account once more before filling out the necessary information fields on the computer screen such as photograph and signature, educational information. Next, choose the “Save & Continue” option after completing each section.
- After properly scanning their details, the candidate should upload their passport-size photo on the NEET-MDS 2025 online application form, along with their entire signature in Hindi and English (not in capital letters).
- Preview your application
- Once the applicant has entered their educational information, they must confirm all of the information they provided in steps two, three, and four.
- The applicant should click the “Back to Edit” option and make the necessary modifications if any information is discovered to be incorrect.
- Payment of Counselling Fee and Security Deposit
- The candidate should click the “Proceed to Payment” option after previewing the application form to submit it.
- Then, they should follow the instructions on the computer screen to pay the counseling fee and security deposit. The fee for counseling is not refundable.
- Downloading of Part A & Part B
- After paying the counseling/registration fee and security deposit before the deadline, the candidate must download the hard copy (Parts A and B) of the online application form and keep it securely to show during counselling sessions.
- This is because it includes the PGDAC-ID that the Board has made accessible for use during counseling and all of the information the candidate has submitted.

Methods of Selection and Admission
- PGDAC-2025 will be based on the merit list of all eligible candidates as provided by the Bihar government’s Department of Health based on NEET (MDS)-2025.
- Counselling will be offered in four (4) rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Every round of counselling, including Rounds 1, 2, 3, and Stray Vacancy, will be conducted online.
Rounds of Counselling
- First Round
- If a candidate is given a seat during the first round of seat allocation, they must physically show up at the reporting centre to have their documents verified.
- After document verification, if he is found eligible, he will either take admission or go for free exit.
- If the candidate mentioned his willingness to upgrade to second counselling while downloading the first-round provisional seat allocation order, however, he will wait for the second round of seat allocation following document verification, and his submitted document will be kept at the reporting center.
- But if his choice is upgraded in Round 2, then the candidate will have to join the college on the allotted seat during the second round.
- Second and Third Rounds for those candidates:
- Students who completed the registration process for either Round 1, but for whatever reason did not finalize the choices.
- They took the free departure even though they were given a seat in Round 1.
- Candidates who have not finished the registration procedure in previous rounds for any reason may submit a new registration-cum-choice form for Rounds 2 and 3.
- Final or Stray Round
- According to NMC (MCC) guidelines, candidates admitted through Rounds 1 and 2 and those assigned a seat through NEET(MDS)-2024 in Round 3 anywhere in India are not eligible for this round. The final round will be the Stray Vacancy round, and candidates must register again with a security deposit and complete New Choices.
