Many students panic over which documents are needed — especially since every state and the All India Counselling (MCC) might have slightly different requirements.

Documents Required for NEET MDS Counselling 2025

Following are the basic documents required for both All India and State NEET MDS counselling rounds.

1. NEET MDS Admit Card

This is your entry pass to counselling. It’s one of the first documents you need to download before attending any counselling process – be it MCC or state quota.

2. NEET MDS Scorecard/Result

This usually comes after your rank is released. Both rank and scorecard are important and must be downloaded and saved for all future rounds.

3. 10th Marks Card (Proof of DOB)

It’s often misplaced during college years — so make sure you have the original or a duplicate copy as it’s essential for DOB verification.

4. BDS Mark Sheets (1st to 4th Year)

All individual mark sheets from 1st to final year are required. If you’ve had any supplementary exams, be sure to carry both original and supplementary marksheets.

5. Internship Completion Certificate

A mandatory document for NEET MDS counselling. Make sure your internship is complete and certified before the verification process.

6. Provisional Degree Certificate

Issued when your final degree isn’t ready yet. If you’ve recently passed (like 2024), you’ll submit provisional now and final degree later.

7. Final BDS Degree Certificate

Colleges may take a year to issue this. If you have it, carry it. If not, provisional is enough for the counselling process.

8. Migration Certificate

This isn’t your school migration certificate — it’s issued by your BDS college. Get it ready before counselling.

9. Dental Council Registration Certificate

Apply for it immediately after BDS. This certificate is crucial and must be ready before counselling.

10. Aadhaar Card & PAN Card

These are standard ID proofs. Aadhaar is often mandatory, while PAN card is required for fee transactions in private colleges.

11. Domicile Certificate (For State Quota)

Only required if you’re applying under your home state quota. In some states, Aadhaar may work as an alternative — but domicile is safest.

12. Passport Size Photographs

Carry 8–10 copies of the same photo used in your NEET admit card. Most counselling forms will ask for it — especially for physical reporting.

13. Caste/Reservation Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)

Issued by your state authority and should be recently renewed (within 6 months–1 year). Outdated certificates may lead to rejection.

14. Allotment Letter (Once seat is allotted)

You’ll get this after round-wise seat allotment. You cannot report to the college without this letter, so keep it printed and ready.

15. PWD Certificate (If Applicable)

Only certificates issued by recognized government hospitals (as per counselling authority list) will be accepted. Any other certificate will be rejected.

16. NRI Documents (If applying under NRI Quota)

Varies from state to state and MCC. Typically includes:

• Sponsorship letter
  
• Embassy certificate
  
• Relationship proof with NRI
  
• Passport & Visa copies of sponsor

Special Documents Required for NEET MDS Counselling: State-Wise

Apart from the basic documents, some states have extra document requirements. Here’s a list of major states with their unique document needs:

Tamil Nadu

Additional Documents Required for NEET MDS Counselling in Tamil Nadu are:

• Eligibility Certificate issued by Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai.
  

This is a mandatory document. Without it, you won’t be able to upload your documents or complete the choice-filling process.
So make sure to apply for it well in advance if you’re aiming for Tamil Nadu counselling.

Maharashtra

Additional Documents Required for NEET MDS Counselling in Maharashtra are:

• Medical Fitness Certificate – Must be issued by a government hospital in the prescribed format available on the official counselling website.
  
• Caste Validity Certificate – If you’re applying under a reserved category, both the Caste Certificate and the Caste Validity Certificate are required.
  

Many students submit only the caste certificate and get rejected. Don’t miss the validity certificate if you fall under SC, ST, or OBC in Maharashtra.

Haryana

Additional Documents Required for NEET MDS Counselling in Haryana are:

• College Character Certificate – Must be issued by your BDS college, not from your school.
  

It’s usually a one-page document confirming your conduct and discipline during your BDS course. It is compulsory for Haryana counselling.

Karnataka

Additional Documents Required for NEET MDS Counselling in Karnataka are:

• Dental College DCI Recognition Certificate – Issued by your parent college, confirming that your BDS degree is from a DCI-recognized institute.
  

Without this certificate, your application may be rejected even if your college is DCI-approved. Make sure to get this before document upload begins.
