BDS Admission in UP (Uttar Pradesh)

To get BDS admission in Uttar Pradesh (in both government and private dental colleges), students must appear for and qualify in NEET-UG 2025. They must also participate in the official counselling process. Students can apply through UPDGME (State Counselling) for private colleges and KGMC, or through MCC (All India Counselling) for AMU, BHU, and Santosh Dental College (a Deemed University). In Uttar Pradesh, minority seats are available only to UP domicile students. Students from other states are not eligible to apply for these seats. Uttar Pradesh has always been a student-friendly and parent-friendly state because the number of available seats is very high compared to other states. There are a total of 26 dental colleges in UP. Most of these colleges, especially private ones, have a seat intake of around 100.

BDS Admission in UP Eligibility Criteria

To participate in BDS admissions in Uttar Pradesh (both government and private dental colleges), students must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

1. NEET Qualification is Mandatory

• You must appear and qualify in NEET-UG 2025.
  
• Without qualifying NEET, you are not eligible for admission to any dental college in UP—whether government, private, or deemed.
  

2. Minimum Academic Requirements

• You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with the following subjects:

  • Biology (PCB)
    
  • English (as a core subject)
    
• For General Category:
  
  • Minimum 50% marks in PCB subjects individually
