East Point college has its own partner hospital on the campus of the college . students get to learn and treat patients after a certain time in the guidance of seniors and faculty staff .East Point campus is quite a large campus with hospital ,college , hostel and playgrounds .College is in the outskirts of Bangalore away from the traffic noise. College is around so many villages which brings in a lot of casualties to the hospital.

• Anatomy 

The Anatomy department of the college has various collections of species and human body parts like ( brain ,lungs ,tongue ,face etc.) for study purposes . In fact , this is the first thing you do after joining college in the first year . department also has skulls and bones of the body ,charts and models for better learning . department also have microscopes and histology slides. 

• Physiology

Physiology is one of the first three practical in MBBS(first year)and physiology is a branch of biology that deals with normal functions of the human body and life, basic things that you will need for life will thought in this lab like measurement of blood pressure ,pulse rate, hematology test. lab of physiology in east point medical college is well equipped and four practical halls just for physiology with modern microscopes and equipment for practical.

• Biochemistry

Biochemistry is a science that deals with chemical and physio-chemical processes and substances that occur within living organisms. teachers in biochemistry lab will teach you about chemicals and experiments like differential tests for blood sugars ,chemical examination of normal urine, test for jaundice( liver function test). Lab in east point medical college is huge and has a single hall which can accommodate 100 students. Lab is facilitated with all the equipment and audio – visual smart screens.

• Pathology

Pathology is a branch of science that deals with study of disease and diagnosis through removed tissue. lab in east point medical college of pathology is equipped with modern diagnostic aids for investigations and hematology instruments. department has a museum that has a collection of various number of spices of diseased organs and chart and models for better understanding. Pathology lab also has around 100 microscopes for studying slides.

• Microbiology 

Microbiology is a branch of science that deals with study of microorganisms and morphology of the microorganisms. lab has one single hall that can accommodate 75 students staining.

• Pharmacology

Pharmacology is a branch of medical science that deals with the study of drugs and its mechanism. Pharmacology is one of the interesting practicals of MBBS. Lab is totally equipped for drug preparation. Equipment used in college are verified and safe.

• Forensic Medicine 

The department teaches the legal aspect of medical practice to students that helps in resolution of criminal cases on the basis of scientific facts. The department has access to laboratories and seminar rooms. For forensic study the lab is facilitated with microscope ,x-ray machines. Age estimation is learnt by x -rays and the main aspect that help in study of the criminal case is dentition of the criminal ,bite marks and lip bite. tooth molds and OPG are given for studies. Department also has a museum that has a collection of various bones, forensic cases and photographs, snake specimens and different types of weapons.

• Community Medicine

Community medicine department is all about serving the rural population by offering them medical service. The department of east point medical college conducts at least two camps every week .The department is equipped with smart TVs for displaying content in the form of videos and pictures for better understanding of students and patients.  Department also has  computers for statistical cells, community medicine has a number of charts ,posters and survey cases for better understanding about health issues and hygiene importance and educating patients for the same.

Admission process

Entrance examination

East Point Medical College Bangalore doesn’t conduct their own entrance examination for the admissions , although there few state and national entrance examination one has to pass or qualify for admission examination like NEET ( national eligibility cum entrance test).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates must have passed 12th standard / PUC from board or council.
2. Candidates should have passed 12th standard in PCMB subjects (physics, chemistry ,mathematics and biology).
3. Candidates must have qualify NEET entrance examination with at least 50 percent marks.
4. Must have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December as on the year of admission.

Emergency department  works 24×7 with OPD  which is also attached to 10 labor beds and 10 emergency beds equipped with oxygen supply , oximeter, crash carts ,monitors and minor operation theaters 

OPD (outpatient department)

All departments like general medicine ,general surgery, ENT, derma, ophthalmology ,dental, psychiatry have their own OPD service and there is also general OPD from where patient are sent to respective departments and there are 24 beds distribution among these departments 

Diagnostic  facilities 

All the diagnostic services are available at a single laboratory.it has all three departments attached to it microbiology, pathology and biochemistry. Laboratory is totally modernized and provides accurate results in short period and open 24 x7 

Radiology 

Department of radiology has 2 portable x ray machines frequency ranging from 300mA,600mA, and 800mA.Also has ultrasound machines and CT Scan

ICU (intensive care unit) 

ICU has total 35 beds in number and also works 24 x 7 with physicians and intensivists, bedside nurses and anesthesiologists is particularized and  specified with all equipment, especially ventilators.

Other departments – The college has all the departments like blood bank ,pharmacy, operation theaters, gynecology, ambulance service, department of dentistry. Departments are fully facilitated and punctual providing great service to patients and humanity.

➤  campus – East Point Medical college has vast campus area.it is located in the outskirts of city ,surrounded by green and campus is spacious, parking facilities are available in campus only, environment is very pleasant especially studying which keep students fresh.

➤  classrooms – The college has 4 theaters with light and ventilation. Classrooms have centralized air conditioners ,smart class, white and green board, metallic chairs and table. There are separate  demo classes in every department with basic white boards and chairs.

➤  laboratories– The college has separate labs for separate departments which are also very ventilated and hygienic. All the safety measures have been taken in construction and maintenance .There are well equipped and students are provided with all the materials for experiments and practical.

➤  Auditoriums – Very spacious , can accommodate more than 400 people , college conducts various events here such as graduation ,intra and inter college fest  ,freshers and small celebrations. 

➤  Cafeteria and Canteen – The college has a cafeteria which is small that serves hot and cold beverages for a reasonable price .It also has snacks like maggie, samosa ,chips and ice creams.c anteen serves meals and breakfast which is fixed price and fixed menu.

➤  Playground – The college has not too big but it is quite a playground on campus. you can play a sport of your choice in the playground. Volleyball, throwball, football nets are available. people enjoy playing cricket here mostly. sports events are conducted in the playground every year.

➤  Hostels – The college has two separate hostels for boys and girls. Both hostels can accommodate about 200-300 students. Hostel has two sharing ,three sharing rooms according to convenience .Hostel has all basic facilities like hot water ,table and chairs ,hygiene washrooms, laundry services ,separate dining area ,separate tv room ,wi-fi and internet service.

➤  Community health camps – Health camps are conducted twice a week from college. where residents visit satellite areas and treat patients also educate patients of rural areas.

➤  Events in college – The college encourage and conduct so many events every year ,fest are conducted every year to encourage student talent and sports. 

➤  Library – college library is well organized ,spacious and ventilated .It has a collection of all the authors books of national and international authors. Books are sufficient in number. library has 3 divisions one is study hall , one is not air conditioned area and the other air conditioned area .Library operates from morning 8am to 10pm . It also have a collection of journals ,magazines ,question papers and news papers.
