The NEET examination qualification conducted by the NTA is the preliminary criterion for admission to these courses in Tamil Nadu. TN Ayush Counselling is conducted for seats in private and government colleges in the state, which are approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) under both state and All India Quota.

Ayush Counselling in Tamil Nadu is conducted by the Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy, Chennai, for admission to Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy courses in private and government colleges of Tamil Nadu.  http://www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in is the official website for TN Ayush Counselling, where the candidates shall register themselves to apply to the Ayush colleges. The candidates who qualified the NEET-UG examination of the present academic year and have 10+2 with science stream and subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, are eligible to participate in the counselling. 

The state counselling mainly reserves 85% of the seats for the domicile students of Tamil Nadu under the State Quota. The remaining 15% of seats are open to all candidates, including students from other states under the All India Quota (AIQ). The counselling for the AIQ seats to private and government colleges in Tamil Nadu is handled by the AACCC.

There are a total of 18 BAMS colleges, 18 BNYS colleges, 1 Unani college (BUMS), 15 Siddha colleges (BSMS), and 14 BHMS, Homeopathy colleges in Tamil Nadu, participating in the counselling.

Tamil Nadu Ayush Counselling Eligibility

The Eligibility requirements for participating in the Tamil Nadu Ayush Counselling 2025 are mentioned below.

Entrance Examination:

  • NEET Qualification is mandatory for participating in the TN Ayush Counselling. The candidates belonging to the general category must obtain the 50th percentile, while the reserved category candidates must secure the 40th percentile in the qualifying examination.

Academic Qualification:

  • The candidates belonging to the general category must have passed the higher secondary examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the Physics, Biology, and Chemistry subjects. 
  • The candidates belonging to the reserved category must have passed the higher secondary examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.

Age Limit:

  • The age of the candidates must be 17 or above in the year of admission.

Registration & Fee Payment

  • The NEET qualified candidates must register themselves with the official website of the state counselling authority at www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in and fill out the application form with necessary personal and academic details.
