Uttar Pradesh Ayush Counselling Overview
The Department of Ayush, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, is in charge of conducting the UP Ayush Counselling for both UG and PG Ayush courses. Both private and government Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani institutions, recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH), participate in the counselling. There are 80 BAMS colleges, 13 BHMS colleges, and 13 BUMS colleges in the state.
The NEET-UG examination conducted by the NTA serves as the primary criterion for admission to the Ayush courses. UP Ayush Counselling Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must adhere to the eligibility criteria provided below to participate in the UP Ayush NEET Counselling.
Qualifying Examination
- Candidates must qualify for the NEET-UG 2025 examination to participate in the counselling.
- Candidates belonging to the unreserved category must obtain at least the 50th percentile, and candidates belonging to the unreserved category must obtain at least the 40th percentile in the NEET-UG examination.
Educational Eligibility
- The candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects in the higher secondary examination, in case of unreserved category candidates.
- In case of reserved category candidates, the minimum aggregate score is 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.
Age Limit
- The age of the candidate must be at least 17 years as of December 2025.
Domicile Requirement

The following are the details of the procedure involved in the UP Ayush Counselling under the All India Quota (AIQ), conducted by the AACCC.
- The AACCC counselling takes place in multiple rounds: Round 1/ Round 2/ Mop-up Round/ Stray Vacany Round.
- Each Round, new candidates can register, and the previously registered candidates who were not allotted seats or opted for free exit or gave willingness to upgrade seats, can participate in the subsequent rounds.
- Stray Vacancy Round is only conducted for the vacant seats after allotment of the 3 Rounds of counselling.
