Subbaiah Institute of Dental Sciences (SDC) Shimoga was established in 2014. This college is a unit under the TadikelaSubbaiah Trust, formed in 2003. The trustees work hard to strengthen the individual training and skills in medical education of the nation. Admission Procedure

For BDS:

• To get admission to BDS, the candidate must attend the entrance examination first.
• NEET-UG is the exam to be attended after the 12th std.
• The state council will decide on a cut-off mark.
• The candidate must obtain marks above that cut-off mark. 
• Those who haven’t scored that mark are not eligible for application.
• Once the results are out, mandatory counseling is planned by the state council.
• To attend this counseling, all the students must register on the Authorized website of the state council.
• Counseling is conducted on many levels.
• The candidate must attend all these counseling rounds. 
• Once every level of counseling is over, the candidate shall get admitted to the Dental College of their choice. 

For MDS:

• When applying for MDS, the candidate must complete the mandatory internship during the BDS degree.
• The candidate should first take the entrance exam to get admitted to MDS.
• NEET-PG is the examination to be attended after the BDS degree.
• There will be a threshold mark decided.
• The candidate should score above the cut-off marks. 
• So, those who fail to score that mark will not be eligible for application.
• Once the results are published, compulsory counseling is arranged by the state council.
• Regarding this counseling, all the scholars must register on the state council’s authorized website.
• The candidates should attend counseling conducted on many levels.
• Once every level of counseling is over, the candidate shall get admitted to the Dental College of their choice.
