Admission Procedure

The New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore takes students in mainly two admission formats:

1) Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 

• This entrance exam is held by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). 
• The KCET is meant to help students get admissions in UG programs across 220+ government, private, aided and unaided colleges in Karnataka.

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)

• The candidate must have passed 12th std or 2nd PUC or any equivalent examination.
• The candidate must have scored an aggregate of 45% in Maths and Physics and Computer Science/ Biotechnology / Chemistry/ Electronics/ Biology.
• The marks for eligibility for Candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) is 40%.

M.Tech

• Bachelor’s degree (either BE/ B. Tech) should be completed with good marks. 
• AMIE in the branch for which you are applying for M.Tech.
• AMIE is an equivalent examination for an engineering degree.
• GATE Exam must be attended. 

MBA

• The candidate must have scored at least 50% for the Bachelor’s Degree.
• It is not allowed to round off the aggregate percentage.
• For Candidates who belong to Category I or SC/ST, the aggregate marks should not be less than 45%.

MCA

• The Scholar must have scored at least 50% for the Bachelor’s Degree.
• You should not round off the aggregate percentage.
