How to choose the best BSC Nursing College?

So, this is the next question most of the students and parents ask me. As I told you earlier, there are 1000+ nursing colleges in India, and which one to select?

When you are confused about choosing a good nursing college, keep in mind the following things:

  • College approvals and affiliations.
  • Whether the college has a hospital or is affiliated with a good hospital.
  • Patient exposure.
  • Equipment and Technologies.
  • Faculties.
  • Affordability.

I will give you an in-depth idea about each of the above checklists.

1. College Approvals and Affiliation

The college must be affiliated with a good university and must be approved by the Indian Nursing council. You can get the latest list of INC approved colleges on the INC website.

2. Hospital

The college must have its own hospital or must be affiliated with a good hospital.

3. Patient Exposure

The hospital must have good patient exposure. BSc Nursing is a course that needs a lot of clinical exposure and experience in treating patients. SO to get a better experience, the college must have great patient exposure.

4. Equipment and Technologies.

The college must have the latest technologies and equipment used for treating patients. If you are not aware of the latest technologies, then when you pass out it will be very difficult for you.

5. Faculties

The college must have the best faculties who are ready to provide the best support in giving clinical experience to all the students.

6. Affordability

Last but not the least, you must see whether you will be able to afford the tuition fees. Many BSc nursing colleges will provide the fee package at a low cost. But you must never leave the quality too.
