COLLEGE OVERVIEW
St. John’s College of Nursing (SJCON) is a private college situated on the main campus close to the Medical College and Hospital. It was started as a School of Nursing, established in the year 1980. Later in the year 1989, on September 25, it was raised to the status of College of Nursing. Then the Nursing education and nursing services were integrated on July 1st, 2013. The college offers various nursing programs as UG and PG courses.

ADMISSION AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

If you are eligible for admission in the college, you can either apply it online after visiting the website of the college or directly to the college and get the Application form. You should send the scanned copies of the necessary documents to the college or sent self-attested copies before the required time.
If you want admission in the college, then you should have the following eligibility for different courses:
- Sc. Nursing Course.
You should have passed 10+2 with Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board under CBSE/ICSE/AISSCE/SSCE/HSCE or any other equivalent Board.
You have to be medically fit.
- Sc. Nursing Course.
You should have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing and should have completed it from an institution recognized by the INC.
You should be medically fit.
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course.
Admission to this course will be based on the merit in the Entrance examination which you have to appear.
You should be medically fit and should have good character and conduct.
- GNM Nursing Course.
For the admission in GNM course, you have to pass 10 +2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, economics, political science, History, Business studies, Geography, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English core/ English Elective or Health science – Vocational stream only with at least 40% marks. You should have passed it from a recognized board under CBSE/ ICSE/ AISSCE/ SSCE/ HSCE or any other equivalent board.
OTHER FACILITIES AND FEATURES
Here are a few of the facilities of St. John’s College of Nursing:
The college is situated closer to the Medical College and Hospital.
The teaching faculties in the college are involved in caring for the patients, hospital staff, and in the administration of nursing services in the parent hospital.
The senior nursing staff of the hospital are involved in the student teaching supervision of the students.
They have as many as 84 staff comprising of 70 teachings and 14 non-teaching personnel and have 7 fully-fledged teaching departments which are dedicated to various nursing fields.
