For the first year M.B.B.S. Course, Bhaarat Medical College and Hospital takes up 150 students in a year calendar. Depending on the variety of these courses, the capacity is updated on the website at the start of each year. Students who are above 17 years of age, have to pass their 12 examinations in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology by securing 50% aggregate. For MBBS (UG) 

  • Students need to pass the HSC examination. It is an examination conducted by any State / CBSE / ISC. This consists of an Academic Stream for the 10 +2 curriculum.
  • Students have to pass with the minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination. These are as per the norms, stated by the National Medical Commission and Medical Council of India.
  • Students should have the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English. And they have to carry the passing marks in them all. They also have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in those subjects. If the student has Biotechnology as a subject, it will be required in the qualifying examinations.
  • Students should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the academic year. 
  • For computing the age of the candidate’s date of birth, the HSC/CBSE/ISC marks sheet or the Birth Certificate/ Passport shall be taken.
  • Candidates need to qualify for NEET(UG).
  • Obtain a good cutoff mark in NEET UG (out of 720 marks).

There is a Staff Reading Room too which can accommodate 30 persons. The whole library is maintained through a Digital Library with 40 computer systems. There is an extensive number of Books and Materials available here. This library has 5889 Books on medical and allied sciences, 41 National and 16 International Journals, and 173 national and 104 international-bound volumes of Journals. Some of the facilities and services that it provides are – Audio Visual Room, Circulation Services, Wi-fi Facilities, Reference service, Reprographic Facilities, OPAC (Online public access catalogue), etc.

  • Blood Bank

Bhaarat Medical College and Hospital has a Blood Bank. It is named ‘24 hrs Bharath blood bank’. Here this bank provides quality blood components with highly advanced techniques, including more than 2000 units as the record states they bleed every year. This blood bank maintains a donor pool through outdoor camps and walk-in donors ensuring their safety and comfort. A skilled phlebotomist and transfusion specialist operate this facility to ensure the safety of everyone. They have currently launched a website for the retention of their donor pool and to provide transfusion services to needy patients.
