Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)

The school provides a 5-and-a-half-year Bachelor of Ayurveda in Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme that includes a one-year internship requirement. BAMS has a capacity of 100.

Degree Program in BAMS: Five-and-a-half years and six months of study are required for the B.A.M.S. Degree.

Kaumarabhritya	Pediatrics	Since the Vedic era, this branch has been one of the eight natural healing modalities. In this field, babies, infants, and children are raised and treated.  In the year 2000, the department began offering a postgraduate degree programme, making it the first of its kind in South India. With 45 beds, the department has a reputation for treating cerebral palsy, developmental impairments, and paediatric epilepsy among other conditions.
Swasthavritta & Yoga	Preventive Social Medicine and Yoga	When it comes to healthy living, the Swasthavritta and yoga branches focus on that. In 2001, the first post-graduation classes were taught.  Ayurveda’s four pillars of health are Dinacharya (daily regimen), Rutucharya (seasonal regimen), Sadvrutta, and Achara Rasayana (moral rules of behaviour).  The department’s mission is to educate the public about the benefits of Ayurveda as a treatment for lifestyle diseases.
Kayachikitsa	Medicine	In Ayurveda, Kayachikitsa is one of eight branches that deal with various systemic disorders that affect both children and adults. The “Post-Graduation” debuted in 2010. The department’s 180-bed capacity is used to teach students clinical skills.
Manovigyana Avum Manas Roga	Psychiatric	The department offers high-quality instruction and prepares students for careers in research.  Psychiatric and medical care is offered for patients whose conditions are beyond the capabilities of the typical Ayurveda physician’s scope of practice.
Roganidana Avum Vikriti Vigyana	Pathology & Diagnostic Procedure	It is the responsibility of the department to teach its students about the foundations of a disease, such as its aetiology, its symptoms, and how to inspect and evaluate ill people, as well as the necessary laboratory tests for diagnosing the condition.
