Step-by-Step Guide: B.Tech Admission Process

Step 1: Review Prospectus and Apply Online

Before applying, carefully review the college prospectus available on the website. For CPAS admissions, complete the online application with personal and academic details, selecting the B.Tech specialization and paying the application fee of INR 750.

Step 2: Confirmation and Document Retention

After submission, keep a printout of the confirmation page for future reference. Government quota admissions are processed online through the CEE allotment. Register options on the CEE website using the college code “UCE.”

Step 3: Admission Allotment

95% of seats are filled through the CEE allotment, while the remaining 5% NRI seats are managed by the college based on qualifying exam marks.

  • The eligibility is based on the rules as mentioned in the prospectus of KEAM 2020 along with amendments issued by the government on a timely basis.

  • Pass in +2 with 45% marks collectively attained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • The marks attained in Computer Science would be considered provided the applicant has not studied Chemistry. 
  • The marks achieved in Biotechnology would be considered, provided the applicant did not select Chemistry and Computer Science.
  • The marks secured in Biology would be taken into consideration provided the candidate did not study Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology,
  • The minimum marks shall be 5% less than that prescribed for the general category, for the SC/ST/SEBC/OEC candidates included in the PwD quota.
  • NRI students are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the +2 exam (or equivalent) exam with 45% marks achieved in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Entrance Rank will not be considered for the NRI category.

Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme

Up to 5% of the sanctioned intake per course would be permissible for the Tuition Fee Waiver scheme, according to the directions of AICTE. These seats are supernumerary in nature. 

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) admits students in the said category, on the basis of merit as well as the annual income of the students’s parents.
