Selection Procedure of BDS

  • The candidate’s merit will be the only factor considered in the student’s selection or how well they did on the NEET, also known as the All India Common Entrance Test.
  • At the time of admission, the candidate must also meet all eligibility requirements outlined by the college and provide all necessary documentation.

Selection Procedure of MDS

  • The State Common Entrance Test Cell, located in Mumbai, will make the information regarding the MDS course’s admissions process available. The candidate should frequently check their official webpage.

Eligibility Criteria for BDS

  • The BDS programme will enroll candidates from underrepresented groups (SC/ST) who score at least 40 percent on the NEET and meet the criteria outlined by DCI.
  • The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination, which is equivalent to the 10+2 test, must cover Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in addition to English as a core study.
  • Candidates who come under the general category must have achieved a minimum score of 50% on the qualifying exams in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English took separately as well as when taken combined.
  • The grade for the subject of mathematics won’t be considered.
  • The score of integrated courses will not be taken into consideration. 
  • In case of selection based on a competitive exam. combined scores in physics, chemistry, and biology must be at least 50% for the General category and 40% for the reserved category.

  • A BDS degree from an Indian university or an equivalent certification recognised by the Dental Council of India is required for admission to the MDS programme.
  • The admission is also based on the NEET-PG score of the particular year.

BDS

The BDS programme lasts 5 years in total, including 1 year of required internship. The course’s primary goals are to provide fundamental dental education instruction that is founded on values and to provide opportunities for knowledge and skill advancement.

MDS

The fundamental objective of the three-year MDS course is to instill moral, ethical, and social principles. In this programme, the college offers six specialisations.

  • Prosthodontics

The department prepares and instructs the students so that they are qualified to manage and treat patients who need a permanent fix of removable dentures and maxillofacial structures.

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The fields of dentistry and medical science have been joined by a special branch of surgery called oral and maxillofacial surgery. Oral and maxillofacial surgery training has evolved into a new idea as a result of oral surgery.

  • Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics

Endodontics focuses on the cure of pulpal and periapical illnesses as well as dental pain management, while conservative dentistry deals with the restoration of caries, misshapen, discoloured, nonesthetic, or shattered teeth.

  • Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics

The first dental specialty, orthodontics, and dentofacial orthopaedics, focuses on the analysis and correction of malocclusions (improper bites), which can be brought on by misaligned teeth, unbalanced jaw relationships, or both.

  • Periodontology and Implantology
