Eligibility for Admission

  • Candidate must have completed 17 years of age by 31 December of the commencing academic year.
  • For the candidate seeking admission, they should have passed 10+2/PUC/PDC examination from a recognized university or equivalent to that of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  • The candidate must have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% including subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination.
  • For those belonging to a scheduled caste or scheduled tribe the minimum aggregate to be obtained is not less than 40%.

Minimum eligibility criteria for admission in M.Sc Nursing:

  • The candidate must be a Registered Nurse.
  • Should be a Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council
  • Should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination of B.Sc Nursing/ Sc Hos. Nursing/  Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
  • Those who have a minimum of one year of experience after GNM can apply too.
  • Should have a minimum of one year of experience as a nurse after Basic B.Sc Nursing in any hospital or nursing educational institution or in a community health setting.

Minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Post Basic Nursing:

  • Must hold a diploma in GNM Nursing.
  • Should have passed the general nursing pre-university examination from a recognized university of the State or equivalent to that.
  • Diploma With or without experience.

Minimum eligibility criteria for admission in General Nursing:

  • The candidate must have completed 17 years of age by September 15 of the commencing academic year
  • For the candidate seeking admission, they should have passed 10+2/PUC/PDC examination from a recognized university or equivalent to that of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  • The candidate must have passed with a minimum aggregate of 40% (for the general category) and 35% (for the SC/ST category) including subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination.

The Presidency College of Nursing is located in, Bangalore, and is easily accessible through different transportation systems according to your convenience.
