Admission Procedure

  • For an aspirant to apply to the courses offered at Rural Dental College, the candidate must have appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the year that they seek admission in.
  • Once the results are declared, the aspirant can choose Rural College Loni as their choice of college to apply to. 
  • Following this, there will be a counseling session that the candidate must attend with all required documents. Once the profiles of each applicant are scrutinized, an official announcement about acceptance is made.

BDS Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be Indian National. As Proof of Nationality, the nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered.
  • Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination, that is, HSC or its equivalent examination, with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • If the candidate belongs to the General category, they must have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually. A minimum of 50% marks has to be obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology when taken together at the HSC or an equivalent examination.
  • For candidates belonging to backward classes, it is compulsory to have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology when taken together.
  • Any candidate seeking admission should be either 17 years of age or attain this age as of 31st December of the Academic year in which admission is sought.
  • All the applicants who are appearing for the qualifying examination in February or March of the respective academic year are eligible to appear for the entrance examination. However, they must fulfill the eligibility condition at the time of counseling.
  • Candidates belonging to the General category should obtain a minimum of 50% marks. Whereas, candidates belonging to backward classes should obtain a minimum of 40% marks in NEET Conducted by NTA. Note that admission will solely be on the basis of merit.
  • Candidates who studied or completed the qualifying examination under a foreign system in India, are required to obtain an equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian University, New Delhi.).

MDS Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be an Indian National.
  • Candidates seeking admission to the Dental Postgraduate Program should hold a BDS degree from a recognized University by DCI.
  • A candidate who has completed a year of compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 30th April of the respective academic year can appear for NEET-PG.
  • Candidates who have finished a PG Diploma course of at least 2 years, recognized by DCI, are also eligible to apply.
  • All the MDS aspirants will have to submit documentary proof, from the Principal/Dean of the college, regarding the likely date of completion of the internship along with the manual application form. Failure to do will result in the rejection of the application.
  • A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with DCI or any state council. If the candidate does not have such registration, they should obtain the same within one month from the date of their admission.
  • Candidates who were previously admitted to a PG degree course and resigned or left the seat are not eligible for appearing at NEET-PG.
  • Candidate should have appeared for the NEET-PG Examination conducted by NTA and should get a minimum of 50% marks. The admission will solely be on the basis of merit.

A Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) course involves 4 years of theoretical classes, followed by a year of compulsory rotatory internship.
