Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

A diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or GNM is a graduate-level diploma that can be taken after completion of the twelfth standard. The duration of the course is for three years.

Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria to get admission to B.Sc. Nursing is:

  1. The student should have passed PUC/PDC/10 +2 Examination with an aggregate score of forty-five percent in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  2. For those who belong to SC/ST and OBC categories and for students in Karnataka, the aggregate score is forty percent.
  3. He/she must be physically fit.
  4. Must have attained seventeen years of age on the 31st December on the year of getting admissions.

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc. Nursing is:

  1. Student must have passed B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  2. He/she should be a Registered Nurse and Midwife under any State Medical Council.
  3. Should have one year of work experience after completing Basic B.Sc. Nursing or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  4. Must be medically fit for undertaking the course.

The eligibility criteria for Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) are:

  1. Students should pass in PUC/10+2 in any streams (Arts, Science, or Commerce).
  2. The minimum percentage to be obtained is forty percent for General Category and for the SC/ST category it is thirty-five percent.
