BDS
  • An applicant must receive at least 50th percentile marks in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for the BDS course administered for the specific academic year to be eligible for admission to the BDS Course during that year.
  • The minimum score is 40th percentile for applicants who are members of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes. 
  • The minimum score for applicants with locomotory impairment of lower amendments is the 45th percentile.
  • A candidate must have earned at least a 50 per cent combined average score in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English at the qualifying examination to be eligible for admission to the BDS program and they must also have acquired a position on the NEET merit list to be considered for admission to the BDS program.
  • The minimum marks required in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined in the qualifying examination for applicants from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes will now be 40% rather than 50%.
  • Minimum qualifying exam scores for applicants with locomotory disabilities of the lower limbs will be 45 per cent rather than 50 per cent for those subjects when considered combined.
  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years to be eligible for admission.
MDS
  • Candidates must obtain a BDS degree from an institution that has been approved by the Dental Council of India.
  • The cut-off for the general category is the 50th percentile and the cut-off percentile for those in the ST/SC/OBC categories is the 40th percentile.

Components 

Three primary components make up the course:

  •  Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and behavioural science are among the topics covered in the first component of the curriculum. These topics lead to general medicine and general surgery after which pharmacology, pathology, and microbiology are covered.

Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge & Implantology Undergraduate and graduate training in dental restoration and tooth replacement is available through the department of prosthodontics. The goal of the department is to prepare its students for careers in research and clinical skills, like prevention and follow-up treatment in prosthodontics. 
Periodontics Students in this department receive training through being exposed to fundamental techniques including obtaining a case history, scaling, root planning, and straightforward minor periodontal operations like gingivectomy and gingivoplasty. For undergraduate, graduate and faculty use, the department provides fully furnished electrically controlled chairs and ultrasonic scalers. 
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics Every postgraduate student will have the opportunity to work with a variety of treatment modalities, including ceramic appliances and self-ligating devices.
