Eligibility Criteria for Kerala PG Counselling
1. Academic Qualification
- Applicants must hold an MBBS degree or a provisional pass certificate recognized by NMC (MCI).
- MBBS qualification should be registered with NMC (MCI) or a State Medical Council.
- Candidates must have completed one year of internship or be likely to complete it by August 11, 2023.
- Admission requires registration with the T.C. Medical Council.
2. Nativity:
- Indian Citizens of Kerala Origin are eligible.
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) can apply only for NRI seats, not for general merit or other reservations.
- Children of Non-Keralite parents with an MBBS degree from Kerala are eligible but not for Communal/Special/PD reservations.
- All candidates must execute a bond to serve as a Senior Resident for one year.
3. Age:
- No upper age limit for general admission.
- For Medical Education Service Quota: 49 years as of December 31 of the notification year, with 10 years of service after completing the course.
- For Health Service and Insurance Medical Service Quota: 47 years as of December 31 of the notification year, with 10 years of service after completing the course.
4. Qualifying Criteria:
- General/EWS: Minimum 50th percentile in NEET PG 2023.
- SC/ST/SEBC: Minimum 40th percentile.
- General (UR)-PD/EWS (EW)-PD: Minimum 45th percentile.

CEE Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2024 Registration
Qualified NEET PG-2023 candidates must apply online at the official CEE website www.cee.kerala.gov.in. . Application forms will not be available offline or at medical colleges, and there’s no need to send copies of your completed form to the CEE office.
How to apply for Kerala NEET PG Counselling?
- Go to www.cee.kerala.gov.in and click on “PGMedical2023 – Online Application.”
- Enter your NEET application number and date of birth (as in NEET PG 2023).
- Provide a mobile number.
- Create a strong password with at least 8 characters, including one letter, one number, and one symbol.

Mode of Selection for Kerala NEET PG 2024
- Examination Requirement:
All candidates seeking admission to P.G. Medical Degree courses for the academic year 2023-24 under the CEE Kerala NEET PG 2024 must appear for the NEET PG-2023 conducted by the National Board of Examinations. - Rank List Preparation:
The selection of candidates will be based on the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, using the NEET PG-2023 rank list, subject to meeting eligibility conditions as per Clause 4 of the Prospectus for the Kerala NEET PG 2024. - Rank List and Category List: The CEE Kerala will prepare and publish the rank list and category lists of candidates who qualified in NEET PG-2023 and meet the eligibility conditions for Kerala NEET PG 2024. Kerala NEET PG 2024 Counseling Process
The Kerala NEET PG 2024 counseling process is managed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) and involves the following steps:
Centralized Allotment Process (CAP):
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) will conduct a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) online to allocate seats for Kerala NEET PG 2024 Medical PG Degree courses. Candidates can exercise their options for individual specialties/colleges according to their ranks.
Single Window System (SWS):
Allotment to all courses for all categories will be made through a Single Window System (SWS) of Allotment, based on the options submitted online by candidates included in the Rank list for CEE Kerala PG Medical 2024. The process is transparent and allows candidates to choose colleges/courses based on their preferences. The allotments are strictly based on the options exercised, rank obtained, and eligible reservations.
Option Registration:
Candidates must register their options online through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in during the specified period for the Kerala NEET PG 2024 counseling. The registered options will be processed according to the candidate’s preferences. Candidates should only register for courses and colleges they are sure to join. Options not confirmed or registered within the given period will not be considered for allotment.
Phases of Counseling:
The CAP for CEE Kerala PG Medical 2024 progresses through multiple phases:
Phase 1: Fresh option registration is mandatory, and candidates must pay a security deposit at the time of option registration. A “free exit” option allows candidates to leave their seats without penalty during this phase.
Phase 2: No fresh option registration is allowed. Option confirmation is compulsory, and only rearrangement or deletion of existing options is possible.
Mop-Up Round: Vacancies after the second phase will be filled through a Mop-Up allotment. Fresh option registration is mandatory for participation.
Stray Vacancy Filling: Remaining vacancies after the Mop-Up Round will be filled through institution-level stray vacancy filling.
Admission:
Candidates who receive an allotment through Kerala NEET PG 2024 counseling must take admission in the allotted college within the prescribed schedule. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the allotment and registered options. After each allotment, options below the allotted one will be removed automatically. Candidates are also required to confirm or cancel remaining options before each new phase of allotment.
Document Submission:
Candidates must produce the required documents in original at the time of admission, including the Admit Card, Allotment Memo, certificates, bonds, Transfer Certificate, and other documents as mentioned in the allotment notification for Kerala NEET PG 2024.
Deputation Benefits:
Medical Officers of Health Services admitted for pursuing PG courses under CEE Kerala PG Medical 2024 will receive deputation benefits as per the guidelines outlined in the relevant Government Order.
