S-VYASA University

The one and only BNYS college in Bangalore is S-VYASA. You might be thinking what is the full form of S-VYASA? The full form is Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana.

Course Duration: 4.5 Years + 1 Year Internship.

Established: 2002.

University: Deemed University.

The college is the first ISO 2001:2008 approved Yoga university in India. I had gone to college and the college is very beautiful with a green and clean campus.

S-VYASA University is the only BNYS college in Bangalore and India that has an A+ NAAC Accreditation.

The college is located around 80 km from the Bangalore international airport and around 33 km from the Bus stand.

You might be knowing that there are only a few seats allotted to BNYS colleges.

There is a lot of demand for the BNYS course in Bangalore and if in case seats in S-VYASA got filled you can opt for other colleges in Karnataka.

The college is not exactly located in Mangalore city. It is located around 25-30 km from Mangalore central.

Alvas BNYS college is the only college in South Karnataka. They also have OPD centers in different villages near Mangalore.

SDM College of Naturopathy, Ujire

This is India’s first Naturopathy and Yogic Science college which was established in the year 1989.

The college is affiliated with RGUHS or Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The total intake capacity of SDM BNYS college is 120 students.

G.Madegowda Institute of Naturopathy, Mandya

The college is situated in Mandya district Karnataka. The college is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

This college has a total intake of 40 seats per year. The college is 90kms from Bangalore city and 60 km from Mysore.

Tapovana Medical College of Naturopathy, Davangere

Tapovana BNYS college is located in Davangere district in Karnataka. The college is approved by the Government of Karnataka and India.

The college is affiliated to RGUHS University, Bangalore. The college was established in the year 2002.

BNYS Course in Bangalore

In this section, I will be telling you the basic details about the BNYS course. This is just an overview of the course.

BNYS is a professional course that is approved by AYUSH. The total course duration is of 4.5 years of studies and 1 year of compulsory internship.

The major things covered in the course are ayurvedic treatments, naturopathy treatments, along with yoga. Most of the academic sessions after the 1st and 2nd year will be practicals with yoga.

The students can choose a specialization from ayurvedic sciences or pharmaceuticals in ayurvedic treatments. The main aim of the course is to provide practical knowledge of healing patients without the use of allopathic medicines or no medicines.
