Deemed Medical Colleges in Bangalore with Fee Structure

There is only one deemed medical college in Bangalore, Raja Rajeshwari Medical College, regarding the deemed universities.

There are other deemed universities nearby Bangalore, namely Siddhartha Medical College in Tumkur, Dr. Devaraj Urs Medical College in Kolar, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences in Begur, and JSS Medical College in Mysore.

All these deemed universities are within a radius of 80 km from Bangalore city.

One more autonomous Deemed University Medical College is in Bangalore, which started its first batch of MBBS in the year 2020. Its name is Dr. Chandramma Dayananda Sagar Institute of Medical Sciences.

One more private autonomous Medical College approximately 110 km from Bangalore city is the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences.

Among all these institutions, Raja Rajeshwari Medical College, Devaraj Urs Medical College, JSS Medical College, Siddhartha Medical College Tumkuru, Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education Neelmangala comes under MCC.

Their counseling is taken care of by the centralized counseling committee MCC. Among these Institutions, RRMC, Devaraj Urs, Siddhartha Tumkuru, and JSS Mysore are the institutions under MCC that offer post-graduation courses.

Siddhartha Academy is also under MCC but was started in 2019 and offered an MBBS course only.

Among the others, Dr. Chandramma Sagar Medical College started its first batch in the year 2020 and offered an MBBS course only. Its counseling is taken care of by KEA ( Karnataka Examination Authority).

Whereas Adichunchungiri Institute of Medical Sciences offers both UG and PG courses. Their counseling is also taken care of by KEA.

Here in this post, I will explain both the colleges that come under MCC and KEA, their Intakes, counseling procedures, Eligibility, Fee Structure for different courses in both Management and NRI quota.

Deemed Medical Colleges in Bangalore

RajaRajeshwari Medical College and Hospital.

Started in the year 2005, this college runs a super specialty Hospital of 1300 beds in Bangalore. The location is called Bangalore Mysore Highway. 

It’s about 65 km from Bangalore International Airport. The college is managed by the same family that runs ACS Medical College in Chennai and Bharath University in Tamil Nadu.

RajaRajeshwari Medical College was affiliated with RGUHS at the beginning. Then later, it got converted to Deemed University and is under DR MGR University currently. The counseling for the courses is being taken care of by MCC.

The college was started in 2005 and had 250 seats for MBBS and 171 seats in different post-graduation branches. It also has super-specialty courses in various departments.

Apart from Radiotherapy and Emergency Medicine, it has post-graduation in almost all the different courses.

The Fee structure for the Non-Clinical (Except MD RadioDiagnosis) ranges from 5 lakh per annum to 10 Lakh per annum, Whereas the Fee ranges from 30 Lakh per annum to 55 Lakh per annum for the clinical branches.

The Fee ranges from 55 Lakh INR per annum to 75 Lakh INR per annum for the NRI Quota seats. (MD Radio and MD Dermatology being the highest Fees)

The Fee for the UG course MBBS is approximately 23 Lakhs per annum. The Miscellaneous fees is charges Rs 50000/- which is payable in the first year only. 

The Hostel Fee for MBBS students is Rs 150000/- per annum and the hostel is situated in the campus.

The Patients are from the nearby locality. Many trauma cases are being witnessed since the college is on the highway and easily accessible to road accident cases.

The application to get enrolled in the deemed medical college in Bangalore can be made by a NEET qualified student by registering himself in MCC. Since RajaRajeshwari Medical college is the only deemed medical college in bangalore in MCC.

For MBBS admission in Deemed medical college in Bangalore a student has to register in MCC for NEET-UG counselling and for PG admission in Deemed medical college in Bangalore a student has to register in MCC for NEET-PG counselling.

JSS Medical College Mysore

JSS Medical College is a private deemed university and is affiliated to JSS Academy of Higher Education. It was started in the year 1984 and is in Mysore. It’s approximately 179 km away from Bangalore International Airport.

This college has been a college of choice for students from all across the country for medical education. The college OPD is filled with patients every time. Being 40 years in the tenure of providing medical education, this college hospital is among the best in the region of Mysuru.

The college has 250 intakes for the MBBS course and 172 seats in the post-graduation. It has super specialty courses in various branches as well.

The Multispeciality hospital is equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and 1200 beds.

The college has the highest number of seats in the MD Medicine branch. Apart from all other departments, it has some rare branches in its post-graduation courses such as MD in Emergency Medicine, MD in Hospital Administration, and MD in Respiratory Medicine.

The college admissions are being undertaken by the centralized counseling committee MCC. 

The college seats get filled up by highly deserving students through counseling since the college is among the most reputed medical colleges and its name all across India. The second most important thing to notice is its fee structure.

The fee structure college charges as compared to the quality of education it provides are comparatively significantly less. So, the students who secure high marks in the NEET exam keep JSS in their Priority option list.

Even for Post Graduation courses, the college fees are significantly less. The NRI fee structure for the clinical branches also ranges from INR 50 lakhs per annum to 58 Lakhs per annum which is comparatively less when compared with other colleges in India.

The Fees for the UG course MBBS is approximately 19.50 Lakhs per annum.

Deemed Medical Colleges in Bangalore

Siddhartha Medical College Tumkuru

Started in the year 1988, Siddhartha Medical College is located in Tumkuru, approximately 100 km from Bangalore International Airport. This college has an intake of 150 MBBS seats and 49 seats in Post Graduation. 

The college has 850 bedded super specialty hospitals on its campus. This college is affiliated with the University Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education.

The counseling is taken care of by MCC; however, the Fee structure for MBBS & PG course is relatively less. They keep a relatively lower fee structure for its courses; however, the allotted candidate must produce a Bank Guarantee undertaking formatted from any bank to pay balance year course tuition fees.

It is one of the oldest Institutions in Karnataka.

The separate fees apart from the actual fees to be paid are a one-time developmental fee of Rs 2 lakh, Rs 87000 as misc and University registration fee, and Rs 1 Lakh as a caution deposit for Hostel.

Hostel fees will be approximately Rs 175000/- per annum, Including food and Hostel.

However, for MBBS courses, the hostel fee to be paid is different. It is almost Rs.50000 less than the PG hostel mentioned above.

Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences, Nelamangla

Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences is run by the same management as Siddhartha Medical College Tumkuru. 

It was started in recent times in the year 2019 and had 150 seats for the MBBS course. This college is located in between Bangalore and Tumkur.

The college is a deemed university and provides only MBBS courses. The fee structure, Misc Fees and T&C for reporting are approximately the same as the Siddhartha Medical College Tumkuru.

Sri Devraj Urs Medical College, Kolar

Devaraj Urs Medical College is affiliated with the university Devaraj Academy of Higher Education. This college was started in the year 1986 in Kolar. It is approximately 79 km from Bangalore International Airport. This is one of the best and most highly rated medical colleges in Karnataka.

The college has an 850 bedded super specialty hospital. It has 150 intakes for the MBBS course and 112 seats in the post-graduation

The fee structure for both MBBS and Post Graduation in merit quota through MCC Counselling is comparatively less. This college also has a process of undertaking a bank guarantee while reporting.

For MBBS the fee structure is Rs 17.65 lakhs per annum payable for a period of 4.5 years.

Adichunchungiri Institute Of Medical Sciences[NOT DEEMED]

AIMS is a state deemed autonomous university in Bellur, Karnataka. It is 100 km away from Bangalore City.  It was established in the year 1985. It has got 800 bedded multispeciality hospital on the campus. 

The Medical College is run by BGS Trust. It has got 150 seats for MBBS and 82 seats for Post Graduation.

The counseling is taken care of by Karnataka Examination Authority. It has Post Graduation in almost all the branches of Post Graduation. The fee structure is approximately 1700000 per annum for MBBS.

The category Eligibility benefits for Non-Domicile state students don’t apply in these colleges since the counseling is not taken by a centralized counseling committee.

Dr. Chandramma Sagar Institute of Medical Sciences[NOT DEEMED]

This medical college is established in the year 2020 and started its first batch in 2020. The college is managed by the same management who runs the Dayanand Sagar Group of Institutions in Bangalore. 

This group is famous for its architectural and picturesque campus, and this medical college is no less. It has a state of art infrastructure Hospital and Hostel as well. This management has been a pioneer in the education industry. Even though this is a new institution, the future for the students studying here would be very bright.

The counseling is taken care of by KEA, and it has only an MBBS course. The Fee in the year 2023 for MBBS students was approximately 20.15.700 lakhs per annum.

The Miscellaneous Fees is 88500/- per annum.

Hostel fees Ranges from 175000/- per annum to 215000/- per annum.

Counseling Procedure For Admission In these colleges

The counseling process is different for different colleges. Mainly, we will talk about the counseling process needed to get admitted to those mentioned above private medical colleges.

Two major portals to register is KEA and MCC.

In MCC, for the deemed Universities, a student has to pay a Non Refundable registration fee of Rs.5000 and a Refundable Security deposit of Rs.200000. Then they get eligible to do the option entry. Whereas in KEA, a student can apply by paying a registration amount of 2000(might vary). The refundable security deposit of Rs 1 lakh is charged at the Mop Up round.

The point to Note in KEA counseling is – One cannot add an option after 1st round of counseling; however, one can delete the options of the colleges from their list.

There will be four rounds of counseling for MBBS admission in both MCC and KEA. Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round and the Stray Vacancy round. All these rounds will be conducted in online mode. Those candidates who have not secured seats in the First two rounds then they can go for the Mop-up round, even in the mop-up round they fail to obtain seat then they can go for the stray vacancy round.

Note:

  • Counseling process for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and deemed & central universities, JIPMER, ESIC, AIIMS, AFMC will be conducted in the first two rounds.
  • The 85% state quota seats will be conducted in the mop-up round, the All India Quota will not be included in the mop-up round.
  • Remaining seats will be filled in the stray vacancy round.

  • OCI candidates are now eligible to apply in the UR category, a change from the previous year when their applications were limited to NRI seats.
  • The process for the fourth phase, previously conducted offline at the college level, has been shifted online through MCC counseling and is referred to as the Stray Vacancy phase.
  • A special stray vacancy round will be conducted for any remaining seats that are not filled during the regular stray vacancy round.
