Registration of Students

The University shall admit students to the Program following the Notification released before the start of each academic year.

Application Procedure

Eligibility Criteria for BDS

  • Candidates must be 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admissions year.
  • For admission to the program, candidates must have passed the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), which is administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
  • After completing 12 years of study, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary examination, also known as the Indian School Leaving Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to the 10+2 higher secondary examination. The last two years of study must have included Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, as well as English.

Eligibility Criteria for MDS

  • An applicant seeking admission to a postgraduate program must have passed the BDS or a comparable exam in the relevant discipline that has been approved by DCI, and they must have received at least 50% of the possible points overall, or an equivalent CGPA.
  • The BDS Degree of an applicant must be from a recognized Indian university or college recognized by the Dental Council of India. 
  • Candidates holding a PG Diploma in a specific specialization that has been recognized by the DCI and has a 2-year duration are eligible for admission to the 2-year MDS program in that specialty. The two-year program’s curriculum will follow the relevant Faculty Department’s norms.
  • According to a government notification, candidates who fall under the SC/ST category will have their qualifying marks reduced.
  • Students will be chosen for admission to the program based on NEET scores or through any other screening mechanism that may occasionally be allowed by the Board of Management. Counseling will be provided by the Government of Karnataka through KEA.

Note: For admission to the BDS program, math scores are not to be taken into consideration. The integrated courses ought to be eliminated after the introduction of the 10+2 course.
